Simon Quirk

After working as a commercial lawyer for leading firms in Melbourne, Simon developed a highly regarded in house legal function for Pacifica Group Limited, a listed diversified manufacturing company in Melbourne. Then, based in London as Vice President at Getty Images, the world’s leading photographic imagery company, he established a high performing legal team that was a finalist in the European In House Team of the Year awards.

Upon his return to Australia, Simon joined Snowball Group Limited, a listed financial services company, as General Manager. Reporting to the Managing Director and a key member of the Executive Committee, Simon had responsibility for the operational areas of the business, including business planning and human resources. At Snowball Simon reconstructed the internal service functions of the business and in so doing, developed the future leaders of the business while building a high performance culture that executed on strategy.

Having achieved success at the corporate level, Simon began consulting to a wide range of clients to help them develop strategy and to create the leadership, systems and culture to enable an exceptional level of strategy execution.

Simon has an intimate understanding of the accelerating challenges that leaders and business owners face in not only developing strategy but also in executing strategy in an increasingly complex environment. His breadth of professional and senior executive experience in leading firms and listed companies in Australia and overseas enables him to deliver holistic, tailored solutions not only formulate strategy but also to achieve superior execution by aligning discretionary effort behind an organisation’s purpose and strategic goals.

A highly skilled and engaging facilitator, Simon also has extensive experience in and passion for designing and facilitating workshops and off sites that deliver accelerated outcomes. He is a guest lecturer in the Master of Entrepreneurship and Innovation program at Swinburne University of Technology. He belongs to the Australian Psychological Society, the International Organisation Development Association, Organisation Development Australia and the Australian Human Resources Institute.
